5:00 to 7:00 PM on Main Street. Free, and everyone is welcome. This year is proudly sponsored by Village Caregiving.
The night
Candy, costumes and supper on the street.
Businesses and organizations hand out candy the length of Main Street. There is also a Trunk-or-Treat in the First National Bank parking lot. Bring the children in costume, and bring an appetite, because this year there is supper on the street.
Food on the night
Come hungry.
Chili Cook Off, $5
Inside the museum, 5:00 to 7:00. Taste every chili and vote for your favorite, with the winner announced at 6:30. Every dollar goes to the Old Opera House Players.
Cooks can still enter, free, until Friday, October 23.

Scarecrow
Open to everyone this year, not just businesses. We photograph them on the night, so there is no photo to send. Sign up by Friday, October 23.
Halloween Spooktacular Home Decorating
Register by Sunday, October 25.
Pumpkin Decorating
Carved or painted, your choice. Enter by Monday, October 26.
Costume Contest
Open to everyone, with prizes for kids, adults, and families or groups. The photo must be taken at the event, between 5 and 7 on Main Street. Enter by Saturday, October 31.
Pet Costume
Pets are not permitted within the Downtown Trick-or-Treat event area during event hours, an insurance requirement. Service animals are permitted. Photograph yours at home and send it in. Enter by Saturday, October 31.
Every prize is Chamber Bucks, good at local businesses. Winners are voted on by the community on the Dell Rapids Chamber of Commerce Facebook page and announced between Friday, October 30 and Tuesday, November 3.
