2024 Citizen of the Year: Casey McCoy
Nominations were made and the Dell Rapids Citizen of the Year Committee chose Casey McCoy as the recipient of the second annual Citizen of the Year Award.
McCoy was nominated by June Decker who cited his generosity in sharing his time and talents to help fellow community members. “Casey is a caring person, devoted to making Dell Rapids a community to be proud of,” wrote Decker.
At the June 17 meeting of the Dell Rapids City Council, Mayor Tom Earley read the official proclamation, designating June 22, 2024, as Casey McCoy Day in Dell Rapids.
